2026 - 2027 Scholarships

Each year, the First United Methodist Church Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to church members pursuing postsecondary education. Eligible applicants include (but are not limited to) graduating high school seniors, current college students, adults returning to school, and seminary students.

Scholarships are funded through named endowments and other gifts to the church designated for scholarships. Students may receive a scholarship for up to five years, provided they meet all requirements. A new application is required each year.

Completed 2026–27 scholarship application packets are due at the church by noon Friday, Jan. 16.

The January deadline supports students applying for matching United Methodist scholarships and allows for earlier award decisions and announcements. It also helps facilitate spring recognition of First Church high school seniors.
