WHAT IS CONGREGATIONAL HEALTH MINISTRIES?

CHM
is an organized group of volunteer health professionals
and lay persons committed to assisting the church congregation and the downtown community of Wichita,
Kansas to improve personal health and wholeness. Receiving referrals from a variety of sources, CHM carefully evaluates and provides education or assistance as appropriate. CHM collaborates with other individuals and agencies to provide quality care and services to our client.

CHM MISSION STATEMENT
Congregational Health Ministries (
CHM) recognizes that health
consists of the whole being, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical, as initiated
by the creator God. Working as the hands of Christ, we commit ourselves to promoting
healthy living for all of God's people through educative and supportive care. We
acknowledge and invite the Holy Spirit, the dynamic force guiding and directing our
service, as we share Christ from the heart of Wichita, not only to the congregation
of First United Methodist Church, but also to the downtown community. |
